APIEXPO AFRICA is an initiative of ApiTrade Africa, a not-for-profit member-based organization with a Secretariat and registered office in Uganda.

APIEXPO AFRICA 2012 is the third edition of APIEXPO AFRICA and follows APIEXPO AFRICA 2010 which was successfully hosted by Zambia in 2010. The Expo is tailored to encourage excellence along the value chain and link African processors and exporters to buyers from other continents especially from developed ones.

The event is organized in three parts; conferences, exhibitions and technical tours and brings together over 1000 diverse stakeholders who exhibit high value bee product brands from various actors within Africa and beyond, beekeeping and related technologies, and innovative R & D practices and deliberate on key development challenges of the industry.

EAB with the championship of the Ministry of Agriculture of Ethiopia has been entrusted with the responsibility of organizing APIEXPO AFRICA 2012 and is coordinating the overall task of organizing the event through the National Organizing Committee drawn from key stakeholder private, public and nongovernmental organizations. The event is envisaged to be officially opened by high level Ethiopian Government Official.
